Camp Director:
Bill Brist -Bill spent seven years at the University of Great Falls as the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. In his time at UGF, he had 40 athletes qualify for the NAIA National Championships in XC and T&F. Before his tenure began for the Argos, he was the Boys and Girls cross country coach at Whitefish High School. This was a position he held for eight years, from 2004 through 2011. Read More…
Camp Manager:
Sara Brist – Sara spent three years as an assistant Cross Country Coach and four years as a Track & Field coach at the University of Great Falls. Prior to her position at UGF, she was the head cross country coach, for both the Boys and Girls programs, at Whitefish High School. She was an assistant at WHS for eight years prior to taking the head coaching position. Pat Tyson – Pat will be entering his 12th year as the Director of Track & Field / Cross Country at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. During his tenure, the Gonzaga program has evolved into one of the top 10 Division 1 programs in the West. Under his coaching, the Zags have made first-ever appearances at national championships, had program-best finishes at conference and regional championships, and received several prestigious academic honors. Featured Guest Coach:
Mike McLean – Coach Mike McLean took the reins of Rocky Mountain College’s cross country and track and field teams in 2015.
His coaching career spans over 30 years in the Flathead Valley of northwest Montana. McLean spent the previous eight years coaching cross country and distance track at Glacier High School. In 2013 and 2014, the Glacier boys won the Mountain West XC Classic, the largest cross country race in Montana, which also includes teams from Idaho, Wyoming, and Washington. Three of McLean’s student-athletes were named All-State in cross country in 2014 and two Glacier cross country athletes qualified for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships. Read More…

In the role of camp counselor, several of the camp’s former participants will be back to help with the campers during the runs and with several of the camp activities. Many of these runners are now competing on college cross country and track teams.
